Create Your Own Erotic Fantasy
Series
by Gotham Books
Review by Tina Morgan
Disclaimer
Gotham's new erotic series: Create Your Own Erotic Fantasy is not for
every reader. These novels go beyond the normal definitions of hot and
steamy. As Fiction Factor's audience base is worldwide, there is a
strong chance that the series may even be banned in some areas and to
those under the legal age of maturity. If stories dealing with sexual
stimulation offend you then avoid this series.
However, if you enjoy reading erotica then this series is sure to
intrigue. As the name implies the focus of the series is on making your
own decisions about how you want the story to proceed and how far you
want to go with the sexual fantasy.
Kathryn in the City by Mary Anne Mohanraj allows you to take the
part of a small town girl moving to the big city of San Francisco. You
quickly discover that your female roommate is a stripper at a local
nightclub and that her two male roommates are a couple, or are they?
Written entirely in second person, the novel feels very intimate and
personal. Each decision is written as if you personally are the one
making it. And you are. Once you decide how you want the story to
progress you follow the directions to the corresponding page. If you
find that choice isn't particularly appealing you can return and choose
the other options. You're in control, you decide. Submission,
aggression, experimentation, it's all up to you.
In The Classics Professor (story by Michael Hemmingson, written by Mary Anne Mohanraj) you are a young
professor just starting your first teaching term at a New York
university. Originally from Chicago, you're used to big cities but he's
still surprised by some of the opportunities New York has to offer. One
of the university's professors is a beautiful woman with ice blue eyes
and possibly a heart to match. How far would you be willing to go to
have sex with her? Would you take the subway to her apartment dressed
only in shoes and a long coat? In the middle of a still hot September
when anyone who sees you must wonder what you're doing in a wool coat
without pants?
With multiple plots intersecting and merging seamlessly, both authors
did a superb job of keeping everything running smoothly throughout the
novels. I was impressed by the use of the second person narrative and
the overall quality of the writing.
Allowing the reader to chose how far to take the sexual fantasy will
make these stories especially appealing to a wide audience. They're
beyond hot and steamy, they're personal, up-close and deliciously
erotic. If you're looking for a stimulating read that involves a lot of
heavy breathing, I highly recommend both Kathryn in the City and
The Classics Professor.
