Black Lace

Black Lace is an erotic magazine for African
American lesbians. The first magazine of its kind
ever to be created and produced, Black Lace
features a collection of poetry, short stories,
fantasy letters to the editor, an advice column,
artwork and erotic photography. We usually
acquire first North American rights and the right
to anthologize. Rates vary from $25 to $100 or
more for a full feature. Payment is upon

Blue Mountain Arts is interested in reviewing
writings for publication on greeting cards. We
are looking for highly original and creative
submissions on friendship, family, special
occasions, positive living, and other topics one
person might want to share with another person.
Submissions may also be considered for inclusion
in book anthologies.
We pay $300 per poem for all rights to publish it
on a greeting card and $50 if your poem is used

magic of all." While the stories we publish

protagonists must be motivated by moral values,

I print primarily poetry. The genres of fantasy
and SF are preferred. I am interested in
experimental formats and content, and prefer
fantastic horror a la Lovecraft or Blackwood to
the blood and gore type. Any SF or fantasy is
appropriate if it isn't sappy or trite. If your
poem rhymes, be sure that the rhymes are not
forced, and that the meter is consistent.
Payment is $5 on acceptance + 2 contributor's

Poetry: Each issue will feature three to ten
poems by ONE Poet. When submitting poems, you
must send a minimum of three, any less will be
returned unread. Please send no more than ten
poems, and poems should be fifty lines or less.
Payment for poems is $20.
We will only consider poems by authors who have
not been previously published in magazines or
anthologies for their poetry.
Uproar charges a $3 reading fee for all
submissions (except for queries regarding reviews
and nonfiction pieces). ALL the money collected
from reading fees goes to pay the writers whom we
publish.
Things to keep in mind: Selection will be based
on the poet’s collection of poems. They
should have a similar message, or underlying
theme. The poems will be arranged on their own
page, with a short biography of the author.
