Creating a work of fiction is very much similar to creating a work of art. Rather than standing in front of a blank canvas with your pallet and brush ready for action, you sit idly at your desk in front of a computer screen. Write a few paragraphs take a moment and sit back, admire what you have created, and then continue. Rather than having one individual as the storyteller, allow your other characters to take center stage. What happens in the plot will affect all of the characters involved, why not let them share there thoughts as well. You may want to start with the main character telling the story and switch later to your supporting actor, so to speak, and share their vision. However, it would be wise to change back and end your story with your main character. They will be the anchor of the short story.
